The Scuba Diver course is a subset of the Open Water course. It is the first 3 confined water dives, out of 5, and the first 2 Open Water dives, out of 4. This is a good start for those short on time or unable to complete the Open Water course. The course certifies you to dive to 12m with a PADI professional.
The Open Water course is divided into theory, confined water sessions and open water dives. During your training you will learn all the necessary skills and knowledge you will need to be a comfortable and confident diver. The course certifies you to dive to 18m. You need a gap of 18 hours between your last dive and flying.

At the end of this course PADI considers you a well-rounded diver. The course is a mixture of study and practical waterwork, where you learn to prevent or calmly manage accidents and mishaps.
