PADI Drift Diver Speciality
Course Overview
This course is designed to be an introduction to drift diving and to help the student diver develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for drift diving.
The Drift Diver course includes:-
• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of drift diving.
• Special equipment -- floats, lines, reels.
• Proper procedures for buoyancy-control, navigation and communication. Site selection and overview of aquatic currents – causes and effects.
• Techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group.

| Status: You must hold a valid Open Water / Junior Open Water certificate (or equivalent) to start this course. Minimum Age: 12 Medical: You must complete a PADI medical form before you start this course. A copy of this form is available for download if you wish to complete one before you come here. Equipment: Full equipment hire is provided as part of this course. If you have your own kit already you can of course bring it with you! |
